Viewpoint Studio is a design practice focused on thoughtful book design, typography, and desktop publishing for print and digital formats.
Viewpoint Studio
I’m Brandon a graphic designer with over 25 years of professional experience in layout, typesetting, and prepress for print. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with publishers, institutions, businesses and independent authors worldwide, helping transform complex manuscripts into clear, well-structured, and visually balanced publications.
My work centres on books that require care and precision: nonfiction, academic and technical publications, poetry, illustrated books, workbooks, and long-form projects where readability, hierarchy, and consistency matter as much as aesthetics. I believe good design should quietly support the content — never distract from it.
How I work
Every project starts with listening. Understanding the purpose of the book, its audience, and how it will be used informs every design decision — from typography and spacing to colour, imagery, and production choices.
I work primarily with Adobe and Affinity software and professional publishing workflows, ensuring files are technically sound and ready for print or digital distribution. I place strong emphasis on clarity, structure, and typographic discipline, while remaining flexible and responsive throughout the process.
Many of my projects involve close collaboration over longer periods, with careful refinement rather than rushed decisions. I value transparency, realistic timelines, and clear communication — and I remain available after delivery to support updates or future editions.
Beyond design
While Viewpoint Studio is registered in the UK, I work internationally. I speak, read, and write English, Dutch, and French, which allows me to collaborate comfortably across languages and regions.
Designing books is not just my profession — it’s a craft Im passionate about. I approach each project with respect for the author’s voice and the reader’s experience, aiming to create work that feels considered, durable, and quietly confident.
If you’d like to discuss a project or explore how we might work together, I’d be happy to hear from you.
